Question:
I am troubled with oily hair. What can you suggest I do to correct this.

Answer:
You're not alone, but fear not, this is an easy problem to overcome. Oil in your hair comes from the sebacious glands which produce the fatty oils on your hair.

1. Shampoo every day or if you have an extreme case, twice a day may be necessary. When shampooing, be sure to actively massage your scalp. This vigorous effort will stimulate the sebacious gland into producing the oils which will be washed out in the shampooing process.
2. Be sure to use a shampoo without oil agents in its ingredient list. A thorough rinsing after shampooing is a must.
3. Apply an astringent (Witch Hazel, mixed with equal parts of water) to the scalp using cotton balls. Another application can be the use of Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with equal parts of water and applied with the same cotton ball method to the scalp. Even a lemon rinse mixed with equal parts of water applied to the scalp will do the trick.
